Ear-Monster: The Whispering Grove
A Hidden Haven for Curious Ears
An interactive sound installation for children and families, co-created by sound artist Hsueh Yoshi and visual spatial artist Zhao Yu-Han.
The work transforms everyday objects into playful sonic environments. Inspired by the fictional creature “Ear-Monster,” who is endlessly fascinated by listening, the installation invites audiences to rediscover sound as an act of curiosity and exploration.
Visitors engage with mechanical and tactile elements that generate, alter, and reshape sonic textures within an immersive environment. Through interaction, listening becomes active — and ordinary objects reveal unexpected acoustic dimensions.
